Fifth Somerset Filling Station to open

A new Filling Station meeting is to open in Chew Magna, south of Bristol on Thursday April 26^th. A group from the the village who have been visiting the neighbouring Priston Mill Filling Station felt it was time to start their own local meeting. Chew Magna’s Anglican Vicar, Rev Charles Roberts said this about this new development: ‘I am delighted we can host one of these excellent Filling Stations. They seem to bring new spiriual life and interest wherever they are set up. I shall be actively involved!’

They will be meeting in the ‘Old School Room’, a well known hall in the centre of Chew Magna. The team expect between 50-60 guests at their first meeting which will have live worship, prayer, testimonies and a talk by Rev Richard Fothergill, Director of the Filling Station network. National Day of Prayer Wednesday 29th February 2012

All those involved with the Filling Station network are called to join together in prayer on Leap Years day, February 29th, to pray for the well being of Britain and the ministry of God through the local Filling Stations.

How can you participate?
• Get together with fellow Christians in your area on the 29th to pray.
• Use the ‘prayer flyers’ provided by each Filling Station local team to focus your prayers.
• Choose to fast that day and pray when you might be eating.
• Contact your local church leaders and help them advertise the Prayer Day.
• STOP! For a moment, and ask God to bless this nation of ours in 2012.

Burnham-on-Sea Filling Station opens

A new Filling Station meeting is to open in Burnham-on-Sea near Bridgwater on Tuesday 28th February 7.30pm, meeting thereafter on every third Tuesday night of the month at the Berrow Village Hall, Berrow, Burnham-on-Sea, TA8 2NL.

The founding group have high hopes that this meeting will become increasingly popular in the immediate area. Several local church leaders have expressed enthusiasm for this monthly gathering and are actively promoting it within their congregations. Local Anglican, The Rev Sally Lacy said, ‘I am excited about this and will give it my full backing!’ The team have worship leaders, speakers and a suitable venue all lined up.

Filling Station goes international

The first Filling Station in Europe is to open on March 8th in the Poitou-Charentes department of central western France. A group of mainly ex-pat British citizens are leading this effort and expect to draw quite a crowd from the immediate area to their Filling Station meetings. They will take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month at a venue to be agreed.

The local team expect to use speakers from Britain and France, the first meeting featuring the Filling Station Director, Richard Fothergill. The Filling Station trust and the existing British meetings are very excited that this model of renewal & evangelism has now spread across the channel. Already we have had further enquiries from France as to the viability of doing Filling Station meetings elsewhere in the country.

The Holy Spirit poured out at Priston Mill!

Thursday 24^th November was an exciting night at the joint N.Somerset Filling Station meeting held at Priston Mill. Rev Simon Ponsonby of St.Aldate’s, Oxford, was the guest speaker and through whom the Spirit of God was very evidently as work amongst a large gathering. Over 160 people heard him speak on ‘Suffering & shining for God,’ and a time of prayer ministry ensued. Physical healings have been reported, several people became Christians and the sense of God amongst the participants was almost tangible. One guest said, ‘it was like walking into the presence of God in that room. I suddenly felt so much more at peace about things.’ Another said, ‘What Simon had to say about suffering was just what I needed to hear at the moment!’

The Filling Station teams in that area are now running an Alpha course for those who want to go further with God starting on January 19th at South Stoke, village hall, nr Bath. Camp at New Wine 2012 with the Filling Station!

Come and join us at New Wine week ‘A’ in 2012. The holiday week is from July 21st – 28th 2012 and guaranteed to great fun! With Christian teaching, seminars, discussion, prayer and worship on offer for all ages. It’s a great spiritual tonic for all the family. Filling Station teams from across the UK will be camping as one group as they did in 2011 and you are invited to join us.

The holiday week costs £122 per adult camping if bookings are made before November 30th 2011. The rate increases incrimentally after that date. Rev Simon Ponsonby to speak at the Filling Station

The two North Somerset Filling Station meetings (Hinton Charterhouse & Priston Mill) are hosting a joint meeting on Thursday November 24th at 7.30pm at the Priston Mill venue. The headline speaker is internationally known Bible teacher & evangelist, Rev Simon Ponsonby.

Simon is based at St.Aldate’s church, Oxford and speaks extensively at conferences and churches in the UK and Europe. The Filling Station teams putting on this evening are excited at the prospect and expect quite a large gathering of people. The evening is taking place in the Barn, Priston Mill, Priston, Somerset. BA2 9EQ.

David Pawson to speak at Henley in November

The Filling Station, Henley are expecting bumper numbers at next week’s meeting as we are delighted and privileged to be able to welcome David Pawson as our guest speaker. David needs no introduction. A speaker with a worldwide reputation, author of over 30 books, and now in his 80s, he is still preaching at events across the globe.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday November 2nd at Henley Rugby Club, Marlow Road, Henley (RG9 2JA for satnavs). 7.30 for coffee, cakes and refreshments for a prompt 8pm start.

Devon welcomes the Filling Station

A new Filling Station meeting is to open in Horrabridge, near Tavistock, West Devon on Friday October 28^th 2011. Christians from a variety of church backgrounds are jointly launching this initiative and plan to hold their meetings in Horrabridge village hall just a few miles from Tavistock. The first night will have a local worship band and talk given by the Filling Station Director, Richard Fothergill. The Filling Station hits Derbyshire!

The first Filling Station in Derbyshire opens on October 18^th 2011. A group of Christians in the Furness Vale/High Peak area have got together to host this first Derbyshire Filling Station meeting. Taking place in the Community Centre in Yeardsley Lane, Furness Vale, SK23 7QP (car park entrance on the A6), the meeting is being supported by several local churches and expectations are high that a new wave of spiritual refreshment will be experienced because of it. The meeting takes place on the 3^rd Tuesday night of each month and their programme of speakers, with their topics, can be viewed on this website. If you live locally, come to a meeting! The evenings events start at 7.30pm.
